Kings' Ty Lawson: Comes off bench in Kings debut

Lawson managed four points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 22 minutes in Tuesday's 103-84 preseason loss to the Lakers.

Analysis:

Lawson is scheduled to open the season as the starting point guard while Darren Collison serves an eight-game suspension, but with Collison available for the exhibition schedule, Lawson came off the bench for this game. After a disastrous season split between the Rockets and Pacers, Lawson will be looking to rebound from what has otherwise been a solid seven-year career. Lawson's comeback will need to start with an improvement on the career-low 39.3 shooting percentage from the field he provided in 2015-16.
