Kings' Arron Afflalo: Paces Kings in debut

Afflalo posted 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt), five rebounds and a steal across 18 minutes during Tuesday's 103-84 preseason loss to the Lakers.

Analysis:

After Ben McLemore regressed last season, the Kings signed Afflalo this offseason to take over as their starting shooting guard. That investment looks wise so far, as he was able to get off to a nice start Tuesday with a team-leading scoring performance. He'll look to provide some supplementary offensive support behind fellow starters DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Darren Collison this season, something that McLemore struggled to do on a consistent basis in 2015-16.
