Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Posts double-double in preseason opener

Whiteside posted a double-double in Tuesday's preseason opener against the Wizards finishing with 20 points (9-12 FG, 2-5 FT), 13 boards and three blocks in just 23 minutes.

Analysis:

Preseason results usually don't mean much, but it's certainly encouraging to see Whiteside picking up right where he left off last season. With the loss of several key personnel this offseason making it look like a transition year for Miami, Whiteside could see a larger share of the offensive workload in addition to providing his usual impressive work on the boards and as a shot blocker.
