Pelicans' Anthony Davis: To see slightly larger workload

Updating a previous report, Davis is set to receive around 18 minutes in Tuesday's preseason matchup against the Pacers, Jim Eichenhofer of NBA.com reports.

Analysis:

It was initially reported that Davis would play about 12 minutes Tuesday, as was the case in the Pelicans' preseason opener Saturday against the Mavericks, but it's since been clarified that the big man will see a slightly expanded workload. According to ESPN.com's Justin Verrier, Davis projects to see nine minutes in the first quarter and nine in the second. Because of the playing time restriction, Davis is a risky daily play, though it's worth noting that he was able to put up 13 points, three rebounds and one assist in Saturday's more modest allotment of minutes.
