Mavericks' Harrison Barnes: Has miserable shooting night in team debut

Barnes provided three points (1-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two assists, two rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes during Monday's 95-88 exhibition win over the Hornets.

Analysis:

We've seen these sorts of shooting lines from Barnes before during his time with the Warriors, but with the Mavericks counting on him to take on a larger offensive role than he has at any previous point in his career, he'll need to show more consistency with his stroke from downtown. While Barnes won't see much of a jump in minutes in his new locale, he'll benefit from a decent uptick in field-goal and free-throw attempts, which will likely be accompanied by a dropoff in his overall efficiency.
