Wizards' Bradley Beal: Named a starter for Tuesday
Beal (concussion) will start at shooting guard in Tuesday's preseason opener against the Heat, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis:
Beal passed the league's concussion protocol late last week and was able to log a full practice Saturday, which was good enough for the Wizards to clear him to play. It's expected that he'll see only limited minutes Tuesday, but he'll likely get a chance to showcase some more play-making skills than usual with John Wall (knee) sitting this one out. Beal inked a max contract during the offseason and will now look to prove he was well worth the investment after injuries hindered his impact during his first four seasons in the NBA.
