Pacers' Rodney Stuckey: Guaranteed rotation spot to enter 2016-17

Pacers coach Nate McMillan confirmed last week that Stuckey would enter the season in a rotation role, Pacers.com's Mark Montieth reports.

Analysis:

Stuckey averaged 22.0 minutes per game in his 58 appearances last season, but with the Pacers moving on from Frank Vogel and hiring McMillan as their new coach in May, it wasn't certain that he'd retain a rotation spot. Jeff Teague and Monta Ellis are set to start at point guard and shooting guard, respectively, and could both see around 30 minutes per game, leaving scant playing time available for Stuckey and Aaron Brooks with the second unit. With that in mind, it will be difficult for Stuckey to improve much upon last season's averages of 8.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
