Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Misses practice Friday

Whiteside missed practice Friday with a sore left knee, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

The injury likely isn't anything serious for the center, who is fresh off signing a $98 million contract this offseason, but Whiteside does have a history with knee injuries. Most recently, he suffered from a sprained MCL in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but said in June that it was no longer an issue. Nevertheless, Whiteside is probably being held out as a precaution, and unless reported otherwise, the injury should not hold him out for too long.
