Mavericks' Devin Harris: Will take contact Friday

Harris (toe) will take contact during Friday's practice, Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

Harris started training camp as a limited participant and was held out of contact portions of practice, as he was being eased into action after undergoing offseason surgery on his toe. However, he's progressed enough over the first couple of days during camp, that he's going to go through a full-contact practice on Friday. With that said, it appears he's nearing a return to full strength, although it wouldn't be surprising if the Mavericks kept him limited once they open up their preseason schedule against the Pelicans on Oct. 1.
