Thunder's Cameron Payne: Tweaks ankle during scrimmage

Payne tweaked his right ankle during the Thunder's team scrimmage Tuesday and was unable to return, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.

Analysis:

Payne was finally nearing a return to full strength after spending the offseason recovering from surgery to address to repair a fracture in his right foot. However, after during a setback Tuesday to the ankle of the same foot he had surgery on, there's some concern he may have to sit out a few days of camp, at the very least. Look for the Thunder to provide another update on Payne's condition later in the week.
