Heat's title odds take huge hit after Bosh health update

Mark D. Smith / USA TODAY Sports

Las Vegas oddsmakers want nothing to do with the Miami Heat sans 11-time NBA All-Star Chris Bosh.

After beginning the offseason on June 20 with 33/1 odds at Bovada.lv to capture the 2016-17 NBA championship, the Heat have seen their stock drop drastically, with the most recent odds from Sept. 27 giving the team a 100/1 chance at hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy, reports the Miami Herald's Manny Navarro.

This comes shortly after the news that Bosh failed yet another physical due to evidence of further blood clots, and there's basically little to no chance he'll ever suit up for the Heat again.

The Heat are also sitting at 40/1 to win the Eastern Conference, tied with the Milwaukee Bucks, Washington Wizards, and Detroit Pistons for eighth overall. As far as the Southeast division is concerned, they own the third-best odds at 13/4 behind the Atlanta Hawks (7/4) and Wizards (3/1).
