Iguodala: Durant a 'monster' who solves all of Golden State's problems

Kevin Durant is the final piece of the puzzle for the Golden State Warriors, Andre Iguodala opined Monday.

Despite their record-setting 73-win campaign, the Warriors still had their flaws ripped open for the world to see by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The Warriors were hailed as being perfect; the Cavaliers proved that to be a lie.

However, the addition of Durant changes all that. In not-so-minced words, Iguodala hailed Durant as the solution to all their problems.

"There were some holes and some weaknesses that we had," Iguodala said. "And we got a monster that filled them all. We got a monster on our team right now."

Golden State struggled to generate clean looks when the offense bogged down, which led to an overreliance on Stephen Curry. That came back to haunt them when Curry got injured. Durant, one of the best one-on-one players in the league, ostensibly fixes that.

The Warriors also needed a small forward who could match up defensively with LeBron James to spell Iguodala, while also being able to pinch in as a power forward at times. Harrison Barnes could move up a position, but he was overmatched against James. Durant, again, fills this need.

That being said, the roster shuffling that Durant's addition necessitated might have created more problems. For example, Warriors coach Steve Kerr is worried about rim protection after losing two strong shot-blockers in Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli.

But given their overabundance of talent on the offensive end, would that weakness even matter?
