Heat's Josh Richardson: Sheds knee brace

Richardson (knee) is no longer wearing a brace and will be limited during the early stages of training camp, Shandel Richardson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Richardson was diagnosed with a partially torn MCL less than three weeks ago, but is already making tangible progress in his recovery. The young guard is expected to be able to participate in some on-court work during camp, though it's unclear if he'll be healthy enough to play in any of Miami's preseason contests, given the initial six-to-eight-week timetable he received. That being said, Richardson looks primed to be back in the fold no later than the first couple weeks of the regular season, which shouldn't hurt his stock too much heading into fantasy drafts.
