Lakers' Julius Randle: Has stitches removed from hand

Randle had seven stitches removed from his right hand Tuesday and will enter training camp without any restrictions, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Randle suffered a cut between his middle and ring finger in late August during a workout and required medical treatment, but was still able to perform shooting drills since his left hand is his dominant hand. Though the Lakers indicated that Randle will have the two affected fingers taped for about a month, it shouldn't impact his availability for drills during camp. Look for Randle to take another step forward in his production after ranking first among all second-year players in 2015-16 with 34 double-doubles.
