Magic's Jodie Meeks: On track for November return

Meeks (foot) is on track to return sometime in November, the Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins reports.

Analysis:

The Magic haven't offered a firm return date, but a team official speculated that Meeks, who underwent surgery in July to repair the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, is due to get back on the court during the first month of the regular season. A Jones fracture in the same foot limited the 29-year-old to just three games with the Pistons in 2015-16, and he was dealt to the Magic in June before it was revealed he'd require another procedure. Meeks, a career 37.3 percent three-point shooter, projects to serve as a backup to Evan Fournier at shooting guard this season, though he'll likely be limited throughout training camp while he recovers.
