Suns' P.J. Tucker: Out 6-to-8 weeks due to back surgery

Tucker will be out 6-to-8 weeks to recover from back surgery, Paul Coro of AZCentral Sports reports.

Analysis:

Tucker will miss the Suns' training camp due to his recovery from a lower back microsectomy procedure, which is usually done to repair a herniated disk. While he recovers, T.J. Warren, who was just cleared for activity after recovering from a February surgery, could lock up the Suns' starting small forward spot. In this case, Tucker's fantasy value would decrease due to the lessened playing time. Tucker started at small forward for all 80-of-82 of Phoenix's games in 2015-16, averaging 8.0 points and 6.2 rebounds in 31 minutes per game.
