George to give away 5K tickets to Catchings' final regular-season game

As a tribute to her illustrious WNBA career, Indiana Pacers forward Paul George will be giving away 5,000 tickets to Tamika Catchings' final regular-season game.

Tickets will be distributed to fans on Friday, with the hope that Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office will be sold out for Sunday's contest.

George's friendship with Catchings grew this summer after the two spent time together in Rio for the Olympics.

Catchings has spent all 16 of her professional seasons with the Indiana Fever, averaging 16.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 steals throughout her career.

The 10-time All-Star will retire as one of the most distinguished players in WNBA history, finishing as the league's No. 2 scorer and all-time leader in steals and free throws.
