Report: Kings agree to deal with Jordan Farmar
The Sacramento Kings have agreed to a deal with free-agent point guard Jordan Farmar, sources tell international reporter David Pick.
Farmar spent part of last season with the Memphis Grizzlies, averaging 9.2 points, 3.1 assists, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 12 games.
The 29-year-old spent eight games with Israeli ball club Maccabi Tel Aviv prior to that, averaging 8.9 points on 50 percent shooting before parting with the team in January.
The Kings have little depth at point guard after allowing Rajon Rondo to walk this summer, and will need a backup for Ty Lawson should Darren Collison face a suspension for his domestic violence case.
Farmar will likely compete with rookie Isaiah Cousins for the team's third-string point guard duties when the Kings open camp later this month.
