The New Orleans Pelicans have signed free-agent swingman Lance Stephenson, the team announced Wednesday.

Terms of the deal weren't reported.

Stephenson spent time with the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies last season, averaging 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on 48.1 percent shooting.

The 26-year-old has bounced around the league since leaving the Indiana Pacers in 2014. The Pelicans would mark his fourth team in three seasons.

With the Pelicans' backcourt already set, Stephenson could find a large chunk of his minutes at small forward, where he'll battle with Quincy Pondexter and Dante Cunningham for the starting role.

New Orleans already had 15 guaranteed contracts prior to adding Stephenson, so general manager Dell Demps will be forced to make another move before the 2016-17 season tips off.
