Here's a side of Boogie you don't see too often.

DeMarcus Cousins was recognized Thursday for contributions to his hometown community of Mobile, Ala.

On the House floor in Washington, Republican Bradley Byrne congratulated the 26-year-old All-Star for his Olympic gold in Rio, and raved about Cousins' "continued leadership" in his hometown.

The big man also earned the "Exceptional Citizenship" award from Mobile mayor Sandy Stimpson, for his efforts in uniting youth and police officers, and for teaching them skills both on and off the hardwood.

Last weekend, Cousins held a hoops clinic and block party for youngsters at LeFlore High School in Mobile.

Let's enjoy this before the 2016-17 season begins, when Boogie starts racking up techs while getting called a "hothead," again.
