Jimmy Butler claims Team USA's brothel visit was accidental

Jimmy Butler could have simply opted for a "No Comment," but he's never been one to shy away from speaking his mind.

So when Butler was asked by FOX Sports' Colin Cowherd about Team USA's brothel visit in Rio de Janiero, the Chicago Bulls shooting guard spoke freely about the trip.

"I mean, it was a mistake," Butler said. "Everybody left and got a drink at a real bar. It's completely fine with me, and that's all it was."

At least three teammates were photographed by TMZ inside Termas Monte Carlo, an establishment described by Rolling Stone as a "high-end brothel."

Sources told TMZ that the players mistook the brothel for a spa, and that they left when they realized their mistake - just as Butler described.

Butler, all the wiser, did not seem to suffer from the same lapse in judgement as his teammates. He claims he wasn't even there.

"Who me? Nowhere to be seen. Not me," Butler said.

Wise move, Jimmy.
