The Philadelphia 76ers' future will likely lean heavily on two rookies in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

The latest No. 1 selection and 2014's third overall pick were reportedly "attached at the hip" at the team's Beach Bash on Saturday.

"He's a great player, so I'm looking forward to playing with him," Simmons told Kyle Phillippi of Metro Philly. "Off the court we're like brothers. We have fun."

The 20-year-old Australian starred at LSU as a freshman in 2015-16, while Embiid missed the past two campaigns due to a foot injury.

The Cameroonian center said he's feeling "100 percent" now, and showed off some moves at the event.

After bonding this offseason, Embiid and Simmons are eager to begin their NBA journeys together, and perhaps make the Sixers relevant again, following three long years of aggressive tanking.

Their on-court play will also go a long way toward determining whether The Process was worth trusting. If their early off-court chemistry is any indication, it was.
