Mavericks' Devin Harris: Resumes running following toe surgery

Harris (toe) will resume light running this week, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Analysis:

Harris underwent two operations after the Mavericks were eliminated from the postseason in May, one to address his left thumb and another to address his left big toe. His thumb fully healed in June, but he's still working to strengthen the toe and should conclude the rehab process before training camp opens in September. After averaging 7.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 20.0 minutes per game a season ago, Harris may see his playing time plunge further in 2016-17 after the Mavericks added Seth Curry to their backcourt corps earlier this offseason.
