As members of the U.S. men's Olympic basketball team, several of the NBA's top stars are afforded the opportunity to spend quality time with each other, forge bonds, and hit the hardwood in Rio de Janeiro as teammates rather than opponents

Rivalries be damned, Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan and the Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green have become close over the past few weeks, as the Americans pursue a third-straight gold medal, and sixth in seven years.

Once Aug. 22 hits, though, all bets are off.

"That's my guy. For now," Jordan said on Thursday, according to the Sporting News' Sean Deveney. "August 22, it's a wrap."

The NBA field-goal percentage leader recently acknowledged that he never would have guessed that he'd be becoming friends with anyone from the Warriors, considering they're the biggest road block on the Clippers' path to winning that elusive title which has evaded the franchise since its inception in Buffalo back in 1970.

The Western Conference appears to be the Warriors' to lose at this point. The Bay Area behemoths won 73 games last year without the services of seven-time All-Star Kevin Durant, who signed a two-year deal over the summer as an unrestricted free agent.

Should the Clippers and Warriors cross paths in the postseason for the first time since 2014, it's safe to say Jordan and Green won't be nearly as friendly to one another as they currently are.
