It looks like the basketball world will have to wait until the new year to catch four-time scoring champion Kevin Durant return to Chesapeake Energy Arena to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Although the NBA schedule for the 2016-17 regular season has yet to be released, a tentative schedule has the Thunder hosting Durant and the visiting Golden State Warriors on Saturday Feb. 11, league sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

Their first meeting, though, will reportedly take place during the second week of the season on Nov. 3 in Oakland at Oracle Arena.

The full rundown of games is expected to be announced at some point this week.

Durant, 27, was drafted second overall by the Thunder in 2007, playing nine seasons with the organization before moving to the Bay Area this summer on a two-year, $54.3-million contract with the Warriors.
