American swimmers combined to win two gold medals and three bronze medals on Sunday, headlined by Michael Phelps capturing his 19th career Olympic gold medal as part of the men's 4x100m freestyle relay, and 19-year-old Katie Ledecky breaking her own world record in the women's 400m freestyle.
Lilly King, meanwhile, qualified for Monday's 100m breaststroke final with the fastest semifinal time.
