Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Signs contract extension with Thunder

Westbrook signed a multi-year contract extension with the Thunder on Thursday.

Analysis:

After the departure of former MVP Kevin Durant, there were concerns that Westbrook would leave for elsewhere once he became an unrestricted free agent after the 2016-17 season. Westbrook, however, has made his choice clear and will be with head coach Billy Donovan and the Thunder for the forseeable futre. The Thunder haven't released the terms of Westbrook's contract, however it's expected to be a three-year, $85 million extension running through 2019-20.
