Clippers' Alan Anderson: Agrees to one-year deal with Clippers

Anderson agreed Tuesday with the Clippers on a one-year contract, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Anderson is coming off a injury-plagued season with the Wizards, with whom he played in just 13 games over the course of the regular season after succumbing to a pair of ankle surgeries followed by a groin ailment. In his last full season in 2014-15, Anderson shot 34.8 percent from beyond the arc, so if his health prevails in his age-34 campaign, the veteran forward could provide the Clippers with depth and jump shooting on the wing. The starting small forward position is wide open for the Clippers, and Anderson figures to compete with Paul Pierce, Luc Mbah a Moute and Wesley Johnson for that role.
