Veteran sharpshooter James Jones is looking to advance to the Finals for the seventh season in a row.

The 35-year-old has agreed to return to the reigning NBA champions Cleveland Cavaliers on a one-year, $1.55-million contract, league sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Jones has three championship rings on his resume (2012-13, 2016), which just so happens to be the same years LeBron James earned his. The two have a close relationship, with Jones following the four-time league MVP from South Beach to Cleveland two summers ago.

The 6-foot-8 forward was seldom heard from last season coming off the end of the bench, averaging 3.7 points in 9.6 minutes per game over the course of 48 appearances. He remains a lights-out marksman from the perimeter after converting 39.4 of his 3-point attempts, but that's just about all he brings to the table for head coach Tyronn Lue.
