The Golden State Warriors have signed JaVale McGee, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

The center will have an opportunity to fight for a roster spot during training camp, after being waived by the Dallas Mavericks earlier this month.

The Warriors have reportedly been in the market for a rim protector since parting with big men Andrew Bogut, Marreese Speights, and Festus Ezeli in order to accommodate Kevin Durant's new deal.

They've picked up David West and Zaza Pachulia, re-signed Anderson Varejao, and will now give McGee a chance.

The eight-year veteran suited up in 34 games for the Mavs last season, when he averaged 5.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks in just under 11 minutes per contest.
