Nets' Greivis Vasquez: Will not compete in Olympics

Vasquez announced Friday that he will not compete in the 2016 Olympics in an effort to stay healthy for the start of the NBA season, Mike Mazzeo of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Vasquez was limited to just 23 games with the Bucks last season with an ankle injury that required surgery, and he said in a statement that the medical staff feels as though he should be working to be healthy for the NBA season. Even with this, there is optimism that the point guard will be ready for the start of the regular season.
