Bulls' Spencer Dinwiddie: Signs contract with Bulls

Dinwiddie signed a contract with the Bulls on Thursday, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Dinwiddie was traded to the Bulls mid-June, but was then waived by the team at the start of July. However, now that the majority of free agents have found new homes, the Bulls had an open roster spot and will bring Dinwiddie back to serve as depth in the backcourt. The Bulls inked Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade earlier this offseason, while they also have Jerian Grant on the roster, so Dinwiddie is likely just a deep reserve heading into his third NBA season.
