Everything is golden for the Golden State Warriors. In addition to a run of on-court NBA dominance and the addition of one of the best players of his generation in Kevin Durant, the off-floor news ain't bad either.

Demand for season tickets for one of the hottest properties in professional sports has predictably spiked, team president Rick Welts told ESPN's Marc J. Spears.

"No one could imagine a scenario where it can raise the level," Welts said. "But I think it has. From a business standpoint, the tickets are sold. The waiting list is over 32,000."

Back in January, with the Warriors in the midst of a history-making 73-win regular season, the team's "Priority Wait List" apparently stood at just over 20,000 people.

This is heady stuff for an organization that only six years ago was a Bay Area afterthought, with the long-maligned Chris Cohan as owner and Stephen Curry's ankles a question mark.

Durant was told when he signed that the Warriors intend to be playing in their new arena across the bay in San Francisco by 2019, according to Spears. To date, construction of the facility has been delayed by a series of challenges by community opponents.
