Raptors' Bruno Caboclo: Finishes summer league out on strong note

Caboclo averaged 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals across 24.2 minutes per game in five Las Vegas Summer League contests.

Analysis:

A surprise first-round pick by the Raptors in 2014, Caboclo has logged 14 NBA appearances thus far in his career, despite not dealing with any major injuries. The Raptors selected the raw, but athletically gifted Brazilian with the understanding that he'd be a long-term project, but he's nonetheless progressed slower than anticipated. Caboclo is still only 20 years old, but he may need to make significant strides in 2016-17 in order to guarantee his place in the Raptors' future plans. His respectable showing in summer league is a good start, but he's a long ways off challenging the likes of DeMarre Carroll and Terrence Ross for minutes at small forward.
