The Los Angeles Clippers were fodder for late-night comedy when All-Star forward Blake Griffin punched the team's equipment manager this past season.

Matias Testi, a member of the team's equipment staff since 2014 and a close friend of Griffin, "no longer works for the team," a Clippers representative told TMZ Sports. This was later confirmed by the Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner.

It was on Jan. 23 when Griffin and Testi were involved in a heated altercation outside of a Toronto restaurant, with the 27-year-old punching Testi several times, resulting in a broken hand.

The team would also suspend him for four games for his actions, which coincided with the time he was already missing with a quad injury, plus the recovery time he needed to heal his hand. Griffin sat 45 games in total from Dec. 26 to March 31.

It remains to be seen what his relationship with Testi is now, although the two were seen shaking hands on the sidelines moments before tipoff against the San Antonio Spurs in February.
