Heat's Briante Weber: Performs well in summer league outings

Weber averaged 9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.9 steals in 28.2 minutes per game across nine summer league games with the Heat.

Analysis:

After appearing in only seven NBA contests with the Grizzlies and Heat during his rookie season, Weber came into the summer eager to prove his abilities. While he didn't do much to impress on the offensive end, the 6-foot-2 point guard demonstrated why he was regarded as one of the stingier backcourt defenders during his college days at VCU. His ability to force turnovers and capably distribute the ball could help Weber hold down a third-string role for the Heat in 2016-17, but limited minutes would come with those duties.
