Durant says he didn't notice getting booed by L.A. crowd

Some elite performers have the ability to completely tune out noise around them. Others simply don't acknowledge negativity. It's not known which camp Kevin Durant is in after he was roundly booed by Los Angeles fans during Team USA's 106-57 crushing of China in a pre-Olympic exhibition game Sunday.

"I (was booed) huh?" Durant said afterward, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. "I didn't hear it."

Durant led the Americans with 19 points.

New Golden State Warriors teammate Draymond Green also got it from the Staples Center crowd, likely representing the first case of in-arena blowback against a team that has quickly become the NBA's villain after Durant's signing.

Warriors general manager Bob Myers wouldn't go that far however, suggesting it was simply a Los Angeles Clippers-friendly crowd. "I think it's Clipper fans because they cheered DeAndre (Jordan)," he said. "That's just my guess."

The U.S. team's next exhibition is another meeting with China on Tuesday night. This time, the venue will be Durant's new home floor at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

"He won't get booed on Tuesday," Myers said.
