Report: Celtics not prepared to give up much for Okafor

Of the big names being linked to the Celtics in trade rumors, it was reported earlier this week that Boston is more likely to land Jahlil Okafor.

That doesn't mean the Celtics are prepared to part with their most prized assets for the Philadelphia 76ers big man, however, as according to Philly.com's Keith Pompey, the Celtics "will not give up much" for Okafor.

Among the Celtics' reported concerns with acquiring Okafor, who was involved in multiple off-court incidents during his rookie season, was the incident that resulted in him getting in a street fight with hecklers in Boston.

Okafor's tumultuous debut campaign also included him reportedly having a gun pointed at him, and driving 108 mph on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.

Between some intriguing young talent and a bevy of draft picks in the coming years, the Celtics are as well-equipped as any team in the Association to make a blockbuster move in the near future, especially considering they didn't need to part with any of those assets to acquire All-Star Al Horford.

The Sixers, meanwhile, appear intent on moving one of their highly prized, young big men.
