76ers' Ben Simmons: Dominates summer league play

Simmons tallied 10.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in six Utah and Las Vegas Summer League games while earning a spot on the All-NBA Las Vegas Summer League First Team.

Analysis:

Simmons received a fair amount of criticism for opting to sit out of a summer league game due to rest. However, it's quite clear that the top pick from June's draft is miles ahead of summer league competition. This past season, Simmons averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game at LSU. Something about his game seems effortless, and while he is likely to be scrutinized to the core throughout the upcoming 2016-17 season, he's also likely to step in and fill up the stat sheet. There could be a small adjustment period for the Australian-native, but it's safe to anticipate Simmons putting up solid numbers throughout his rookie campaign.
