Celtics' R.J. Hunter: Has quiet summer league

Hunter had a relatively quiet showing in summer league play, averaging 10.2 points on 37.5 percent shooting across five games.

Analysis:

Hunter played only sparingly for the Celtics as a rookie and he'll look to make a leap in his sophomore season, though the roster isn't exactly full of holes. The Georgia State product is slated to compete with Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown for minutes at the shooting guard behind starter Avery Bradley. Hunter's range from downtown is his primary asset, and he emerged from summer league shooting better than 47 percent from deep, which is certainly encouraging.
