Bulls' Denzel Valentine: Helps Bulls to LVSL title

Valentine helped lead the Bulls to the title at the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 11.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals in seven games.

Analysis:

While Valentine shot a paltry 35.2 percent from the floor and 25.5 percent from three-point range, he lived up to his billing as an all-around producer and clutch performer. The rookie from Michigan State grabbed at least eight rebounds in each of his last three games and tallied at least three assists in his final five contests while playing mostly off the ball. Though Valentine was mostly underwhelming in Monday's title game against the Timberwolves, shooting just 3-for-10 from the floor, he redeemed himself by hitting the game-tying three-pointer with seconds remaining in regulation. He then hit a game-winning jumper as the clock expired in overtime to give the Bulls the victory.
