Nuggets' Malik Beasley: Signs rookie contract

Beasley officially signed his rookie contract with the Nuggets last week, Malika Andrews of the Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Beasley, who was selected with the 19th overall pick in June's draft, missed the entire Las Vegas Summer League while recovering from surgery to address a stress fracture in his right leg. The Nuggets expect him to be at full strength for training camp in the fall, when he'll compete for a depth role in a crowded backcourt. He's not expected to be a major contributor as a rookie.
