The Golden State Warriors have re-signed Brazilian big man Anderson Varejao to a one-year contract.

Varejao, an unrestricted free agent, signed with Golden State in February after being waived by the Portland Trail Blazers, who had acquired him and a future first-round pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for a future second-round pick.

He averaged 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 22 appearances with the Warriors during the regular season. The 33-year-old also suited up for 17 games during Golden State's road back to the NBA Finals, although he accumulated just 20 points and 21 rebounds in 93 total minutes.

The Warriors' frontcourt has undergone some major changes this summer. Gone is ex-starter Andrew Bogut (Dallas Mavericks) and his backup Festus Ezeli (Portland Trail Blazers), with their replacements coming in the form of veterans David West and Zaza Pachulia on reasonable one-year deals.
