Pelicans' Anthony Davis: Expected to return by August

Davis (knee, shoulder) has begun shooting again and is expected to return to full activities by August, Justin Verrier of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Davis was shut down for the 2015-16 season in March to undergo knee surgery, and to rehab to heal a torn labrum in his shoulder. His original timetable was 4-to 5 months, and he seems to be on track. There will likely be more updates on the big mans status as the season approaches.
