Timberwolves, Hill agree to 2-year, $8M deal

Greg M. Cooper / USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a reported two-year, $8-million contract with free-agent center Jordan Hill.

Hill spent this past season with the Indiana Pacers, averaging 8.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 73 games. The 28-year-old was largely ineffective in the playoffs, totaling zero points, six rebounds, and two assists in five games.

With Karl-Anthony Towns likely to get the bulk of the minutes at center, Hill will be forced to battle with Gorgui Dieng for playing time in Minnesota.

Hill joins Cole Aldrich and Brandon Rush as the Timberwolves' newest offseason additions.
