After creating headlines for his arrest in East Lansing, Mich. on Sunday morning, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green chose to the address the incident on Tuesday.

"When things happen, you meet them head on," Green said at Fortune's Brainstorm Tech conference, as quoted by Sports Illustrated. “My legal team is handling it. It will be resolved really quickly, As a public figure I can't put myself in certain situations. It's something that I'll learn from and move on.”

Green was arrested after allegedly slapping a "taunting fan" outside a nightclub, and was released later that morning after posting a $200 bond. The 26-year-old will not have to appear in court for his July 20 arraignment, because the court approved a waiver application by his attorney. Green could face a fine of up to $500 and a jail sentence of up to 93 days if convicted.

The All-NBA forward is set to represent Team USA at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil next month.
