Richard Hamilton considering comeback attempt

Richard Hamilton is 38 years old and hasn't played an NBA game in over three years, but he says he's in the early stages of seeing if a comeback is workable.

"I'm giving myself 30 days where I am really hitting the gym." Hamilton told CBS Sports' Nick Kostos. "I'm working on my game. I'm in the weight room. I'm running my two, three miles a day. And I'm trying to see if my body can hold up. If my body can hold up after these 30 days, I will be making a comeback."

Hamilton said he talked about making a comeback with Ray Allen, who is rumored to be considering his own return, with various teams reportedly interested. He added he's spoken with his agent about gauging teams' interest.

The three-time All-Star last suited up for the Chicago Bulls in 2012-13. Hamilton is best known as part of the Detroit Pistons' backcourt of the mid-2000s alongside Chauncey Billups. In his prime, the 6-foot-6 swingman could slash or hit the three, as well as play stubborn defense.
