The Machine is still ticking.

The New York Knicks have re-signed shooting guard Sasha Vujacic to a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum, The Vertical's Shams Charania reports.

The Knicks signed the 32-year-old to the same deal last summer, when he'd been out of the league - excepting a two-game, 10-minute stint - since 2011. He ended up starting 25 games, mostly owing to the team's lack of wing depth, and averaged 4.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 14.9 minutes.

He took a long time to get re-acclimated to the NBA 3-point line, but once he did, he proved a very effective spot-up shooter. After the All-Star break, he canned 45.5 percent of his threes, and the Knicks had a positive net rating with him on the floor. He also proved to have retained his knack for world-class antagonism.

Knicks president Phil Jackson said he initially signed Vujacic - who played for Jackson with the Los Angeles Lakers for several years - to help teach the triangle offense to the uninitiated in New York. The Knicks' offense improved to 26th in the NBA last season after ranking 29th in 2014-15, so that plan seems to be goink just fine.
