Dunn concussed, and sits out Minnesota's loss to Cavs

A look at some of the highlights from Monday's schedule in the Las Vegas Summer League:

---

DUNN HURTING

Minnesota guard Kris Dunn, the No. 5 pick in last month's draft, was held out of the Timberwolves' game against Cleveland with a concussion. Dunn has been entered into the NBA's concussion protocol, and his status for the rest of summer league is unclear. The Timberwolves were down 10 at the half, then got outscored 29-9 in the third quarter and wound up falling 99-68 to the Cavaliers.

HIELD SIZZLES

No. 6 pick Buddy Hield scored 17 of his 23 points in the third quarter, then hit a big jumper as the shot clock was expiring with 39 seconds left to help New Orleans hold off Sacramento 70-66. Skal Labissiere scored 16 for the Kings, but No. 13 pick Georgios Papagiannis missed all seven of his shot attempts.

MCGRUDER OVER MURRAY

Rodney McGruder had 23 points, Briante Weber added seven assists and six steals and Miami topped previously unbeaten Denver 92-81. No. 7 overall pick Jamal Murray scored 29 points in his best game of the summer for the Nuggets. Murray shot 7 for 23 in his first two games in Las Vegas, then made 10 of 24 on Monday.

IMPERFECT TEN

No. 10 pick Thon Maker had a double-double of sorts - 10 points, 10 fouls - in Milwaukee's 85-81 loss to Memphis. Players don't foul out of summer league games until their 10th foul.

RUSSELL ROLLS

D'Angelo Russell had 22 points by halftime (on 7 for 10 shooting), finished with 26 and the Los Angeles Lakers had little trouble on the way to beating Golden State 78-65. The Warriors' 7-foot-6 Mamadou Ndiaye had three rebounds in four scoreless minutes.

MCCULLOUGH IMPRESSES

Brooklyn's Chris McCullough is off to a strong start in Las Vegas. His 16-point, eight-rebound effort helped the Nets beat Atlanta 72-65.

DECIDING RUN

Jaron Johnson sparked what became a 16-0 run in the third quarter and finished with 17 points in 21 minutes, helping the D-League All-Stars pull away and beat Houston 89-71.

POWELL-POWERED

Norman Powell scored 23 points and Toronto moved to 3-0 in Las Vegas, topping Dallas 80-69. Giovan Oniangue made four 3-pointers for the Mavericks, three of those coming in a 90-second span in the second half.
