Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat and free-agent forward Willie Reed agreed to a two-year contract, league sources told Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Reed averaged 4.7 points and 3.1 rebounds during his rookie season with the Brooklyn Nets, playing in 39 games.

Prior to joining the Nets, Reed played for numerous D-League teams and had a brief stint with Metros de Santiago in the Dominican Republic.

Reed earned D-League All-Star honors in 2015 and was named to the league's All-Defensive First Team.
